Saturday, June 19th 2004 I visited with my parents and my little sister Elaine a Dairy in Denmark. My Dad worked there 31 years ago for a few weeks. We had luck, the very nice manager of the Dairy Mrs. Dagny Lange invited us for a special tour. It was very intresting to see the way how they produce cheese. Everything was fullautomatic and very clean. That was the reason why we had to wear special coats. The tour took more than one hour. We got everything explained. I know now, when I eat cheese how this product is made. I will tell about it my classmates and friends at school. At the end of the tour we got a big piece of cheese "Fontal" as a present. That was the best cheese I had ever tasted. To bad that we can't get this "Fontal" in our area. I have also worked for a few hours on a farm near Branderup. They deliver the milk to this Dairy. My knowledge about milk- and cheeseproduktion is now much better. Thank you Mrs. Lange for the tour. |
