Bishop Castle is located in south central Colorado on State Highway 165 approximately 12 miles southeast of the junction of SH 96 and SH 165. The castle is being constructed by a single man, Jim Bishop. The castle has been under construction since 1969 and continues to be a work in progress. The castle is open to visitors on a true donation basis. The castle is a monument to what a hard-working individual can accomplish in a lifetime.
