Die Jugendlichen der Türkei laufen in Scharen in einen Film, der neues Öl ins Feuer des Streits zwischen Westlern und Muslimen giesst. «Irak - Tal der Wölfe» heisst das Machwerk; darin lässt ein christlich-fundamentalistischer Offizier der amerikanischen Streitkräfte wahllos Muslime hinschlachten, und ein
jüdischer Arzt raubt den Gefangenen im Foltergefängnis Abu Ghraib lebenswichtige Organe und schickt sie nach Israel und nach New York. Der Film, mit einem Budget von über zehn Millionen Dollar als teuerste türkische Produktion seit je bezeichnet, bricht Zuschauerrekorde. In den ersten drei Tagen verzeichnete er angeblich 1,1 Millionen
